AJA Tzedakah

Australian Jewish Association Tzedakah (AJAT) is a charity with endorsement as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) which means donations are tax deductible in Australia.

AJAT is registered in the category of harm prevention and its principal role is combatting antisemitism. AJAT supports the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism and works towards its adoption and implementation in Australian jurisdictions and institutions.

It is widely accepted that certain types of anti-Zionism are also antisemitic, so AJAT can assist in education and advocacy in dealing with anti-Zionism and in support of Israel.
AJAT can also support Judaism and observance of Jewish customs, festivals and ceremonies.
