PALESTINIAN ISLAMIC JIHAD ATTACK ON ISRAEL
The Australian Jewish Association (AJA) condemns the firing of over 160 missiles by the terrorist group Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) at Israeli civilians.
AJA President, Dr David Adler said, “Both the firing of missiles at Israeli cities and the fact that the Islamic terrorists hide amongst the civilians in Gaza when they fire these missiles are war crimes.
Palestinian Islamic Jihad is one of the most vile terrorist groups in the world and is banned as a terrorist organisation in Australia and most of the free world. PIJ is completely under the control of the Ayatollahs in Iran, who gave the orders to attack. Iran is the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism, and they inflict their carnage from Lebanon to Yemen.
AJA congratulates Israel on the pinpoint killing of senior PIJ terrorist leader Taiseer al-Jabari, who was a ticking time bomb in the midst of organising an attack on Israeli civilians, whilst hiding in a high-rise building. Just like with the US assassination of Al Qaeda leader Zawahiri this week, the world is a safer place without these men.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all the people of the region and in particular the residents of Israel’s south, who once more are spending their days and nights hiding in bomb shelters.
The Australian Jewish Association appreciates the bipartisan support in Australia for Israel’s right to defend itself. Australians realise that Israel is on the frontline in the war against radical Islamic terrorism and its actions keep us all safer.
Australia must refrain from implementing some of the more provocative parts of the Labor platform such as recognising a “State of Palestine” which would likely be seen as a reward and embolden the terrorists. If Australia wants to play a constructive role, it should increase pressure on Iran so that they stop exporting extremist Islamic terrorism”
